Casabermeja

Casabermeja surrounded by mountains at the head of the Guadalmedina valley and once occupied by the Moors, has grown up around the Nuestra Senoro Del Socorro Church, built in the 16th century with its pink five tier tower standing tall in the village centre. Its unique and quite beautiful Cemetery, declared listed in 1980 forms its own small city of the dead, made up of a group of whitewashed burial-vaults, funeral piles and pinnacles is an unexpected tourist attraction.
